Weipa Billfish Tournament
No date has been set for the Weipa Billfish Tournament in 2021, although it is usually staged in early October. Held over several days, competitors chase marlin and sailfish in the depths of the Gulf of Carpentaria.
Around 20 boats usually compete in the tournament, which is famous Australia-wide for its friendliness to visitors and close camaraderie.
