Ladies Gamefish Day

One of the most popular events in Weipa, the Ladies Gamefish Day is a social tournament organised by the Weipa Billfish Club.

Boats dress up in theme as the event is also used as a fundraiser for the McGrath Foundation.

The fishing can be good and the presentation ceremony always provides plenty of laughs.

No date has been confirmed for 2021, although it is usually staged in November.
